Detroit Dance Collective

 Michigan's leading contemporary dance company presents Collage, 2009. This annual performance, voted most popular by dance enthusiasts statewide, will highlight the work of numerous area artists including Detroit Dance Collective artistic director, Barbara Selinger, and company members, Corinne Imberski and  Anastasia McGlothlin, as well as on Anh Nguyen of HNM Dance (Canada),  and Kevin Iega Jaff of Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre (Chicago).   also featured will be a performance by Marygrove College Dance Company and a sneak peek into DDC's 29th season signature concert, The Power of Green.

Concert--Grand Rapids Ballet

The Grand Rapids Ballet Company will present Contemporary Masters, anchored by George Balanchine's Prodigal Son.

Summer study in Michigan!

Dance Process -- College Edition
This five-week intensive in Traverse City, Michigan, culminates with a performance at the city Opera House in downtown Traverse City.  Participants will be instructed in classes ranging from ballet to marketing to choreography.
Fee: $800 (housing is included, July 5 to August 8)
Application deadline: March 6

Teaching position available

Hanley International Academy, a pre-K-8 charter school located in Hamtramck, is seeking a dance instructor for the after-school enrichment program. Grades K-2 meet on Wednesdays, grades 4-8  on Mondays. The time for each is 3:30 to 5 PM.
Salary is $20 per hour and the program runs for 16 weeks, with a performance on fine arts night May 21, 2009.
